bad review, good cd

Seeing as I'm a bass player I feel that "Take The Time" is the best song on the album, and I've got at least a band (that includes me) behind me in agreement. I think review is a fair review though.

I've recently made a DT 180. I used to hate them, but after getting Train of Thought, I absolutely love them now. Nice work Kaden.

I finally bought this album after hearing so many people talk about it. Simply put, Portnoy fucking floored me.

I really need to get this cd to put in my DT collection but next up is six Degree's

I miss those days when their songs were well and truly thought out before being recorded, with each album ending up with the best of 2 years writing, touring, working, re-working, rather than the "jam, record and then figure out what LaBrie will do" approach. This was surely the album by which all their subsequent work should be judged. Well, this and Awake.

It's a great album...probably their best even if metropolis pt.2 is a wonderful prog album...However metropolis pt.1 rules!!!

I'm pretty sure that saxophone in Another Day is keyboard. It always sounded a little bit fake to me when it first chimes in. If it really is keyboard it's fantastic though.

Good review mano.
Images and Words was my first DT album, and I was blown away by it.
I love all of the songs on here, my three favorite being "Take the Time", "Metropolis", and "Learning to Live".

^^ It is in fact a saxophone. In the liner notes it credits Jay Beckenstein with saxopone on Another Day. He also plays the same part on Live Scenes from New York.
And this album is ridiculously good. Learning to Live is my favourite DT song.

not a great review- kinda boring and plain
too short
good cd though
anything by dream theater is great

Dream Theater albums are full of boring, pompous movies.

I like this song because it songs very 80's. Seriously. Take the Time sounds like 80's video game music. But a kickass cd.

This is a good album, but it didn't appeal to me as much as Train of Thought did. You review was pretty weak. This Message Edited On 09.13.05This Message Edited On 12.13.05

Horrible review. No detail at all for the tracks. I didn't learn much of anything.
