Anyway, sweet write-up. A great read.

'Redesigned a Million Times' is great, but overall this is pretty meh...

cool review bruh

"...'Run Home', which features an excellent shred section near the beginning with a unique, high-treble tone to give it character. It gives way to a quieter, echoy section in the middle, like you’ve driven your motorcycle off a huge cliff and the world is slowing down around you."
Perfect descriptor. Sounds pretty much exactly like that.

how the hell was AHBF more focused than Gangs

Album Rating: 4.0
I might actually change that because after listening to Gangs for the first time in a while, I agree, it was more cohesive and focused. More diverse would be a better descriptor, but I am pretty sure I already said that. I'll edit it later.
I mainly got into this band with the last album so I don't have as much experience with Gangs, although it rocks

so far this isn't doing much for me unlike their last effort.

Sweet review paradox, very well written.

They could've done better than this. Their S/T album is still the best up to date.

Favourite is probably people not schlepping. Definitely retains some of the gangs vibe. Album sounds like ADHD.

This is decent but both it and All Hail Bright Futures are a huge step down from Gangs and the s/t.

While I didn't thoroughly enjoy All Hail Bright Futures, some of the ideas it developed were undeniably very interesting and refreshing. This, while still not quite reaching the heights of their first two albums, is definitely a much more mature evolution, integrating the vocals and rare electronic elements in a much more cohesive way. Their songwriting still sounds a bit tired at times, just as it does since Gangs.
