one listen and it sounds pretty fucking sweet, i would give it a 4 but these albums kinda get better with more listens so ill save it for later

album has been growing on me, it seemed boring at first but it just gets better and better every time i listen to it. Easily some of the best post metal released this year.

I prefer Sumac's, Heiress's, Tempel's, and Ufomammut's releases from this year. Some of those are fringe, but they're all as post metal as this is.

I dont think u can count ufomammut as post metal even if ur are being loose , sumac's album is pretty beast though, heiress's was a bit too generic but decent nonetheless and I have not listened to tempel's new album yet. I also dig Irreversible and A swarm of the sun a lot.

Well, genre arguments are for the birds, but I would say that the new Ufomammut album has just as many post metal tendencies as this does. But whatever. This is a good album, I just wasn't blown away by it.

The opening quartet of songs are pretty weak. The rest of the tracks are great though. Also, the treble on the drum mix is too high, leading to some moments where the cymbals cover the brighter guitar leads.

Seen this on so many pm lists and never heard it. Or if I did, it was a long time ago.

Always liked the album art and the title. Didn't care much for the music though.
