Nice review . Didn't impressed by the 2 singles .Didn't hear the album yet , but from the 30 sec on iTunes it doesn't so interesting... Gonna give it a chance though , as 30 sec is not enough for a real opinion .Still , I wish Adam was part of this band again because I think he is great , and he is much better than Matt

I never heard Transit of Venus, but this is the same old lol-worthy band. Their first two albums were good but they never changed their sound. That would still be okay, it's not like radio rock bands experiment much, but the quality of the songs aren't even as good/memorable/catchy.
Just bland, below average basic rock.

To me it's just stagnation over the course of three albums. Don't get me wrong, they've never done anything better than a 3 rating IMO. But their last several albums all hovered around average/below average mainstream rock, and the lack of creativity just makes it seem worse than it is because it's the same old shit as before.
I'm not defending this, it really isn't good at all - I'm just saying it probably gets a bit more hate than it actually warrants. Not that I care.
