Thanks for all the compliments guys,
I saw this and was so sure that Spat Out Plath had reviewed it
I take this as a huge compliment, because Plath is a great reviewer
I think you focused on the lyrics way to much.
Yeah, your probably right about this, rereading the review I see how much time I spent on the lyrics.
My Console is awesome, your a fool.
I don't know how I feel about this...

Pretty good review etc.

I'm another Blue (Da Ba Dee) fan, but I don't think I'll bother checking out the rest of the album.

This is just embarrasing, this album was made to make money and capatalize on house, I guess being a house guy I'm a little biased and take it worse instead of some fake punk group, but this song disgusted me when it came out, and it still does now. People think so narrowly about Electronic music, they think if you just phuck around on synthisizers and use a vocoder, you'll be the Jimi Hendrix of "Techno" music (And it isn't Techno, people who don't know it call it techno, it's either house or electronica, screw what Ishkur says)

It's just sad to know a classic album by Herbert called "Around The House" be out as the same time as this garbage, and the garbage gets way more attention. If anyone has the time to give this album or any song off of it the time of day, they need to cleanse their pallet with a real house album (Such as the Aformentioned Herbert album, or 808:88:98 by 808 State, or Aphex Twin if they want real Electronica)

... Hrnnnh, there, I got that off of my chest, oh yeh, and great review vaguedan (That wasn't sarcasm I really did like it)This Message Edited On 05.02.06

I'm not sure how to take that :-/

As a compliment. Probably the best way forward. But seriously, as a compliment.

This was my first CD too. Unfortunately, I still love it. And I like Pokémon, too. I'm so freakin' immature.

Woah woah, I never said there was anything wrong with Pokemon. I still play Blue Version every once in a while.

As for the album, it's fun and all but I stand by what I said in the review. This Message Edited On 11.21.06

My Console is a song which by all accounts I should hate, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

I guess it's one of those "once in a blue moon" deals.

The best track of all on this album, it had to be Hyperlink (deep down). This was my favorite band as a little kid when the first song came out.

This album was my childhood and even though it is cheesy, I still listen to it about every week or so.

Europop ha! Eurodisco is spinning the crystal ball. There's an under-the-dancefloor movement, dressed in space suits and day-glo shoes. They're coming and we better run because they'll wrap us all in celophane and push us down the stairs.

Spin Magazine has an article on it:

I apologize for responding to such an old review, but I must say that this is very relevant to my interests.

I'm aware that everyone is entitled to their own opinions but have you even LISTENED TO any of their OTHER albums?! They did not just make "Europop". They also have "Contact!" and "Eiffel 65: 2003". (The latter CD is in both Italian and English.)

Or have you even bothered to listen to the individual works of the DJ (DJ Gabry) when he left the band in 2005? Or listen to Jeffrey and Maury's new works of Bloom 06? You'll see that both seperate entities have developed into something totally different.

Europop was their first album, and first albums are never perfect. "Contact!" definitely perfects on what they were achieving with "Europop". Their music overall keeps getting better and better.

And if their music is so poor as you claim, how did it reach top numbers in world-wide charts?

This might be due to the fact that I am a HUGE Eiffel 65/Bloom 06 fan, and I'm sorry if it sounds biased but your review is not a review. It should belong in an opinion section. You put your own personal views into something that seemed like it was aiming to be professional and unbiased...which failed.

Continue to dislike or like whatever you want, this is not going to discourage people not to listen to their music and future works of the NEW band.

Oh and FYI: not everyone goes for writing super deep, hidden-messaged meaningful lyrics like A Perfect Circle or John Lenon did. There are different types of music and genres and lyrics and beats. This is ELECTRONICA. Not inspirational music.
