I wish anything else on this was as good as Tupelo.
Wanted Man is solid and I like Knockin' on Joe, but it drags.

They never made a bad album but its all downhill after the good son. I think this one is pretty underrated. Doesn't get the credit for its impact on gothic country/blues punk.

This and especially From Her to Eternity still have that Birthday Party energy, which was lost soon after.

While I like both those albums I disagree. 90s and onwards Nick is where he truly shines imo.

Tupelo is one of the greatest songs ever. Fact.

Love Tupelo so fucking much. Plenty of days feels like the best thing Cave’s done. Not that there’s a shortage of candidates

Pricks is a fun covers album of blues and folk songs. I really enjoy a lot of the band's renditions and Cave's voice and attitude add a lot.
*edit* Although "Pricks" was released 3 months before "Your Funeral", they were recorded around same time and Spotify actually puts "Pricks" after "Your Funeral", which is how I've always viewed "Pricks": the end of an era, a transitional album of covers that led into what I and many believe is the start of an incredible streak of classic albums.

Pricks is interesting, the different songs they're doing expanded the Seeds sounds into new territories, and it's hard to see them winding up where they did in the 90s without it, even if it isn't one of the best Bad Seeds records.
