They all sound the same to me honestly

Yeah I've listened to it 3 times and am having a difficult time differentiating between songs, though
Chlorine's a standout for me. I do dig the overall sound though, which I think keeps me coming back to it.

this is so goddamn sweet

dam this is EXACTLY like what pianos become the teeth did but with shoegaze lmao
fantano said exactly this and it's honestly not a warranted comparison; all it really says is "a punk band got markedly softer"

Damn, they went full shoegaze. Scene is huge now in the Philly/Scranton area.

I barely consider this shoegaze, honestly it sounds like Title Fight just with more flange and added reverb.

It has all the signatures of shoegaze: droning guitar tones, dreamy laid back vocals, may not be on the dot but the production and style applied was aiming for that appeal.

damn so this is kinda disappointing so far aside from the singles

I agree with you there @JWT155, to me this album is just really lacking the wall of sound most shoegaze
i tend to listen to provides.
This is disappointing the first 3 songs on this are stellar and Rose of Sharon is another highlight.
Overall Title Fight just tread too much familiar territory on this for me.

Good review. Just so you know, there's far more chorus on the guitars than there is flange.

I love this album, potential for AOTY for me. Loving the sound, and I love the fact that this album has essentially zero yells. "Head In The Ceiling Fan" was my favourite on Floral Green, and Shed has never really done a whole lot for me, so this was the release I wanted.
So stop complaining because they tried something new. Their next album will be harsher again. Just be patient and listen to Shed on repeat if this isn't doing it for you.
