I didn't like this album at all. I actually found it hard to sit through the entire cd, a feeling that I haven't had in a long time, or even ever maybe. There is really nothing outstanding about it, and if I was a bigger Tool fan, I would be pretty upset that they made us wait so long for this.

Decent review for a decent album. Both need a bit of work.

I personally think the best track on here is Jambi, but that's just me. This album is good. Not as good as Lateralus, but it's up there with other tool releases.

At first listen I would have gave this album about a 3/5 but now I'm gonna have to say this will be a classic in the years to come.

In my opinion it matches every other Tool release in terms of greatness.

Obviously it's very different but we would be mad if they tried to make Lateralus part 2 as well.

One these three reviews is gonna become the next 40-pg monstrosity known as American Idiot.

Just give Tool a few more weeks to piss of their fans somehow (possibly by "going emo" and wearing eyeliner).

everyone is blaming the fanboys because they are giving this 5's, but look at the ones giving it low marks, some of them are only doing it because it's not as good as lateralus. Lateralus was a classic this may not be but judge it based on itself not because it's not as good as past works.

i would easily give this album a 4/5, if not greater. I've heard it about 30 times by now, and i can easily say this given the fact ive been a fan since '97...

like an good TOoL album, it gets better with each listen

I felt that this album was a little better than Lateralus because of the monotony at the end of the Lateralus, but this definitely wasn't as good as Aenima to me. Jambi and The Pot gives a new sound and the title track is epic and awesome.

I also believe that, in the case of this album, the track order really mattered...this album has a great flow to it.

I'm probably the one person in the world that really loves this album.

To me, it already beats out everything but Lateralus. I think it will need to stand the test of time to beat Lateralus, because I spent so much time with it and grew listening to it. However, if 10,000 Days stays in my player like Lateralus, it will certainly have potential to "beat" it in my mind.

I like how much more personal it is this time around. Lateralus had a detached attitude, this is more emotional overall. I like the longer, more epic songs a lot. The Wings series, "LK/Rosetta Stoned", "Right in Two"... I even like the filler song better than all the other segues we've been through before.

Good stuff.

this album isn't up to par with aenima or lateralus. but its still a hell of a lot better than anything else out there right now.

nearly all the songs are good, but the album just didn't seem to go in a new direction. "the pot" however is something unique. best track imo. and danny carey still remains god.

Definitely, its not as strong an opener as the Grudge, but its awesomely emotive.

"I even like the filler song"

Lipan Conjuring is cool, Viginti Tres goes on a bit long, but definitely has its moments. I heard it before the album came out, but thought it was a fake cause it sounded so like this fake version of the Pot (which was mainly this guy with a heavily distorted voice talking about weed)

Wow, i picked this up today and it had the most original CD case ive ever seen. I must admit I rated this album a 5 out of being a huge fan, but it's still an amazing album. It's way different than watever else is being produced these days.

I got this this afternoon, and I must say it's incredible. The Pot would have to be my favorite on the CD.

Bought this album today...artwork is most original and quite cool. It took me a while to realise what the hell the lenses were for. I originally thought they were free magnifying glasses or something until I read the booklet inside. lol.
