In Comes the Flood is so gloriously over the top. It's fantastic.

yeah at first I was put off by the "America, America!" chants, but it eventually grew on me. So pompous, but powerful.

I actually like the new album. Oh, and of course Suffocation gutspilling bloody gore noise listeners WILL
NOT like this album. Grow the fuck up.

Album's way longer than it should be imo. It has it's moments but it is boring

^ Again, I'm amazed by how much criticism is directed at this album that is actually true in The Blackening's case and not here.

Got my CD today, after one spin I like it more than UTL. '...Knives' isn't a good track but 'Ghosts...' , 'Sail...' , 'Damage inside' and 'Game over' are standouts on first listen.

Not sure what to make of it all just yet but I will add that I'm at least impressed that a band two decades into their career continue to challenge themselves and the listener and I've been listening since 94'

EDIT: I expect my rating to creep up rather than slide after several more listens.

Looking forward to getting this on Monday. In regards to Locust only one track was forgettable for me,Blackening has one or

two. Worried that with 12 tracks this may have some forgettable filler

Listening to this right now. I like what I'm hearing, kind of a mix between Blackening and Locust with it's epic song structures yet tight musicianship.

As for The Blackening, the only really weak track for me was 'Wolves'. It was just wanking on guitars throughout.

For Unto the Locust, the worst had to be 'Who We Are', the last track on an otherwise awesome album. Way to shit on everything else you accomplished beforehand, guys!

Has anyone read the new Guitar World magazine interview with Robb Flynn on this? He was legitimately one of the biggest assholes I've seen in that interview.

4 tracks in and this is already better than Unto The Locust imo. Also holy fuck Robb Flynn is going fuck in. His vocals on this are incredible.

Vocals were pretty annoying on Night of the long knives but I loved The Blackening and liked Unto The locust.

Loved The Blackening too. Unto the Locust had some good stuff but low replay value and it bored me a lot at times. Pearls Unto the Swine was insanely good though. Love that song.

^ Pearls Before the Swine is the song everyone overlooks on UtL. It's really one of their best.
