"Many of the issues found on Portal of I have been righted. While that album lacked direction and proved too much for some new listeners to swallow, Citadel follows a distinct path from start to finish, and seems much more refined and polished."

My sentiments exactly. Superb album, definitely in my top 3 of this year so far.

Good review!

Damn bunch of dick ridin' going on. I like this so far but the cleans almost ruin it for me sometimes. Need to listen to Portal again but I remember being more impressed with it on first listen than this.

Reveries From The Stained Glass Womb is this albums way shorter version of Forget Not (at least thats how I see it).

The first album had an incredible standout ("Forget Not") and some good songs held back by lots of filler parts. This

album seems much better at cutting away the filler, but I'm halfway through and nothing's sticking out like Forget Not

did. Here's hoping :D

EDIT: Also holy shit the bass might actually be the standout instrument here. It's incredible in the quieter parts.

Nice review man, descriptive but still concise. Can't peel myself away from this. Every second feels tremdously purposeful and full of life. Some will disagree. And that's fine. Has no bearing on my perception of this.

It's pretty good. I don't really listen to "real metal" these days but I love these guys. A guy I worked with knows the drummer, real good guy (rest of the band are p cool too) so backed hard.
Pyrrhic is goes hard as fuck, love the screaming Violin over that melodeathy riff.
