I almost never put recs for that exact reason, some albums are incredibly hard to gather comparisons for.

(at least like 80% of) this is much closer to like mumford and lumineers straightforward schlock than it is to bon iver aesthetics

Conrad is really good, gotta listen to this. Every Kingdom is so-so but the songs I like are some of the best I've heard.

Conrad and End of the Affair are the only the songs that really pop out for me. Wish he delivered the passion he has in a lot of his good songs like Black Flies, The Fear, and Diamonds has but with every song.

what? this is nothing like mumford and sons. the first album maybe but seems like you havent heard this yet. i like to compare it to the transition Bon iver made with his newer album "Bon Iver, Bon Iver" where the band gets more involved and the acoustic guitar got mostly replaced by electric guitars. its basically the same transition with a more darker and atmospherical approach to it.

If you're looking for comparisons for the hazy, reverb atmospherics then check out Daughter- they sound a lot like BH on this album but probably greyer and bleaker.

Agreed, probably my favourite song on this Caleb. Gotta say, not a weak song on the album at all.
