What we have here is a failure to communicate. I feel the emotion and fluidity in my reviews, but that's just me. I'm even colder with my film reviews, and they have been well-received. I don't know what to do to satisfy you people, because I do appear to be working with a different audience. That's not a criticism; it's just that I miscalculated how my style would be received.

cam: you can clearly write well, but you're far too descriptive for your own good. you explain things to redundancy, throw in some of the most awkward commas that break up your sentences in very strange ways, and overlook some basics to writing informative yet concise reviews. look at that second paragraph ffs

I did not start reading the comments on my reviews until just today. I've been busy. I will see what I can do to tighten things up, but I can't promise that the transformation will be easy. I do write more sentences in my film reviews, and will look into applying my typical seven-sentence style to these reviews, if not a couple more sentences. I appreciate the criticisms and am offended by the attacks that ironically go bloated with run-on sentences and no real punctuation, but I understand everyone's concern, and while I will not be changing my style, - in that I alter it greatly - I will try to tighten matters up.

i have a terrible problem with run-on sentences when i write, and i always have. as such, i keep a special
eye out for those things.

@Solbrave You're not one of my readers, and if this site really is populated with simplified readers and writers who are de-matured by internet sensibilities, then perhaps I made a mistake joining this website. I can take criticism, but that comment is a reflection of what I hate about Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all sorts of other communities so overrun that they incorporate children. I don't know about you, but I do take writing seriously, and I will aim to improve my style for those who put sense and taste in their writing and criticism, not for you, or BMDrummer, or SnakeDelilah.

I like youre in depth analysis of this album. Its quite intriguing actually and offers an oppurtunity for others to learn from your perspective.

But its overshadowed by the length of it all. One part of being a good writer is compressing what you want to say into a curt and concise sentences. You can say everything you want to say in half of those words.

Remember who you are writing for. That is the job of the writer. It is a review, not a research paper that only your professor will be reading.

Back for a second. I write these reviews over the course of two or three days. I am not trying to troll, as much as I am just irritated, because I am not used to internet-style criticisms, and find them to be lacking in sophistication and what have you. I'm not calling anyone unintelligent, because evidence proves that we are all smart people here, it's just that this is getting ridiculous. I try to not project an ego, and I am sorry if I sound like I am, but please understand that I'm trying to get everyone to calm down to a level on which we can communicate. Whether this site is over my head or whatever, it might not be for me.
