Its very important to remember that this album seems to have the mood of an un-requited lover. if you notice in Shiver and in Parachutes he repeats hes waiting for someone "always. always". Then Again when he proclaims " Its you i see but you dont see me. Its you i hear so loud and so clear sing it out ill always be waiting for you." When i was single from my long term girlfriend i swear i must have listened to those two songs a thousand times. many memories of tears shed while i layed on the hood of my car piss drunk singing those songs to myself. So i agree it is a very good "chill" album, but on top of that it is a very good "depressed lonely person album" when one of my friends has relationship troubles this is the medicine i give them. and oddly enough it always seems to get them in a better mood. This is why i love coldplay.

I had an accoustic version of Shiver once, which was really beautiful. That's probably the best coldplay song I've heard.

First of all, I reccomend not rating an album you have never heard, then read some of the reviews and find some songs that might appeal to you. This Cd is the most guitar based, if thats what your into.

i also did it to try to change my genres cuz it says i like new metal cuz i rated p.o.d. and linkin park. truth is i hate new matal. some of these genres are really messed up. they need more piano rock in the alternative genre cuz piano rock is one of my favorite genres
