My friend told me he loved this. Hmmm.

id say u should listen to Swim before this one Ars. if you like Cerulean i think Swim is an easier step in the direction of Caribou than this

sometimes this reminds me of burial. why is that. well the samples kinda sound familiar sometimes. dig this hard time!

I normally have zero tolerance for this kind of music but I can vouch that this album is actually
interesting. I don't like it as much as the rest of the staff seems to, but it's worth checking out for
basically everyone.

One of the best electronic albums of 2014 so far.

The title track is amazing.
|
| |
I will definitely check it out based on the recommendations here. I'm not that into Caribou typically but my interest is piqued.
|
| |
@Potsy: Thanks, if I do check these guys out, Swim will be the album
|

"Silver" is one of my fave songs this year

I normally have zero tolerance for this kind of music
Caribou has actually always been quite accessible though. Or what do you mean?
|
| |
I just mean electronic music, not Caribou in particular. This is the first album I'm hearing by this artist.
|
| |
Check out Swim then. :]
And that's quite the generalizing statement, seeing how diverse electronic music can be.
|
| |
Not really - people generally like or dislike certain genres. All I'm saying is that I typically don't find electronic music appealing, just as plenty of people avoid the indie-rock and folk stuff that I can't get enough of.

it just has to do with how much you are used to different genres. if you listen to more (good) electronic music you will like it someday. when i hated hip hop for example i listened to "my beautiful dark twisted fantasy" and also didnt liked it at first but i also had respect for the artist it was basically the first hip hop record i listened to in its entirely. but when you come back to it when you learned to appreciate that genre more and more you will find it attractive somehow cause you have a more nostalgic sense for it now. you can basically adapt this with every kind of genre. basic math tbh :s

not indie folk? not interested
