I've listened to Say Hello To Sunshine plenty of times, bro. It never clicked as well as What It Is To Burn.

So do people see this review first because Strizz has more previous reviews posted? I've been trying to figure out for a long time what the priority is for the review shown when one clicks on the album. I posted my review earlier (not by much) and StKiyo posted his even earlier than mine, yet combined we have fewer views than this one.

I think it is because of the votes, the most pos'd review is the first. I'm just sad because it is my second review and almost no one saw it, but the other 2 reviews are great.

Saying What It Is to Burn is better than Say Hello to Sunshine is like saying a hot dog is better than a steak. Sure, they are both meat products, and sure, a hot dog is okay, but a steak is in a completely different league in every possible way.

I just like WIITB more. So what? Move on. Just because I don't see it your way, doesn't mean that I'm wrong. Just because they are in "different leagues" means that I can't compare the two? Btw, they aren't in different leagues. Both albums are by the same band. Of course I can compare the two and I'm saying WIITB is better.

"Btw, they aren't in different leagues. Both albums are by the same band."
Hence why I said they are both meat products.
Anyways it's cool man. I just... I dunno.. try listening to SHTS one more time, closely.

I really disliked Say Hello to Sunshine when it came out. I found it to be such a far departure from what I was expecting and Nate really sounded exactly like Brandon Boyd (Incubus) on some songs. After giving it a 2nd and 3rd chance throughout the years I really dig the entire album. Maybe it was a bit before its (and my) time. Back to Oblivion is more like Say Hello than WIITB. Solid album but does kind of fizzle at the end with the slower tracks. I really love this band!

Really isn't much like SHTS actually. There's some heavier/faster tracks but they're a lot more formulaic than anything on SHTS

yeah the only thing similar to SHTS is the guitar tone, kind of... I'm not sure where the comparisons are coming from.

I agree 100% with this review. I am VERY letdown with this album. BORING! Not even close to anything they've done. 2 or 3 good songs, and that's about it.

After seeing some live vids of them playing the tracks from this album, I can definitely say that they come across a lot better in a live setting. Also happy to hear them playing SHTS tracks live, Alex Pappas does a fantastic job with the drums on them which makes me wonder why he phoned it in here.

Jeez, was Nate's voice always this awful?

I think that "back to oblivion" is referring to the band itself.

Great review! Just like the game "Destiny," I agree with and completely understand the criticism "Back to Oblivion" is getting, but I can't help but be completely enthralled with it. Perhaps it's just me simply being a blind fan wanting more Finch?
