Well that album cover certainty is... uh... something.

It really is, I was surprised with how much of this got stuck in my head as opposed to the decent but pretty forgettable No Line On The Horizon.

Danger Mouse's contribution in album's sound is more than apparent.

A breath of fresh air indeed, terrific choice from U2.

I should've mentioned that, the production is U2s best in a while all the instruments really get a lot of room to breathe, unlike albums plagued by the loudness war

Review is decent in terms of writing style, but has got its U2 facts quite wrong.

Are you talking about when I said they've struggled to remain relevant in the past decade? I know Vertigo was everywhere for a while, but after that they definitely lost their way. No Line on the Horizon sold way less than they had thought, though the 360 degree tour (which I went to) sold amazingly. For this album though Bono did say they were questioning their relevance and if they should continue. That's probably why they decided to release it the way they did.

A lot of people might disagree with my last statement, but I think it was a smart move and I'm happy getting a free U2 album, even if it was a bit intrusive.

Rips can be bad quality, especially for new releases. Though CDs and vinyl are still better than the quality of MP3s on the iTunes store.
