I'm tempted to bump this up to a 4.5 but "Screen" and "The Run and Go" are so weak compared to the rest of the album
EDIT: Oh fuck it, the rest of the album is so awesome that it forgives those two songs, and even they are still okay

Yeah man, I love the lyrics to both (especially "Screen," that vertical locomotive metaphor always gets me) but musically they're kinda bland imo

YES this is back up to a 3.8 avg

@dylan- imo, i really like the simpler intrumentals because they placed a heavier emphasis on the lyrics which are some of the best on the record. They're kinda comparable to Doubt and Polarize on blurryface, simpler yet no less meaningful

Nate - I suppose I see where you're coming from. Another problem with "Screen" though, is that it feels... excessive, despite its simpler instrumentation. The vocal effects in the second verse - while I'm sure there's a deeper meaning behind them, that doesn't stop them from sounding grating. Ditto the choir near the end, which feels awkwardly out-of-place. Still a good song though, just weak by Vessel's high standards.
Re. the Blurryface tracks, I agree with you on "Polarize" but "Doubt" really irks me because of the production - it feels way too plastic for something intended to come across as genuine
HDS - you rock, but wth is your avatar?

"HDS - you rock, but wth is your avatar?"
it is tyler joseph grinding on tyler joseph while tyler joseph looks @ them jealously

Fake You Out, Guns for Hands, and Semi-Automatic are pretty bad. Everything else is cool though.

I still to this day can't remember either track, they just don't have the same energy or charm that the rest of Vessel has.

Car Radio is awful
