Yeah track is really fantastic. It's rare we have the occasion to hear Portnoy play with sobriety. It must be all of a challenge for him lol.
I really dig both Bombs Away and Peaceful Harbor as well. Lots of the songs bring a nod and a wink to Spock's Beard.

Oh really? That's cool! Do you always skip the first song? If yes, try it after 3 minutes when bass is in the forefront. Song sounds like a great Spock's Beard song at that point, and it's a good thing. Awesome song imo.
The production and the song writing of Second Nature make it so superior than their first album which shows great but undeveloped ideas. It also sounds rushed most of the time.

It's one of my favorite modern prog albums (even with a subtle touch of pop rock thrown into it). I wish Spock's Beard would've taken that turn when Neal Morse left the band. Instead, they tried too hard to do progressive rock and it sounds forced overall.

Yes you did mention it ;) You're right the second half of Cosmic Symphony is so moving. It reminds me of some great Bruce Springsteen. It seems to have some great lyrics too, and I guess it's great to sing along to.

I actually hesitated between A Place in Your World and One Love Forever. I love how the nice ballad of the latter meets kinda Celtic vibes that become more and more heavy through the song. I agree the climax of A Place in Your World is eargasmic....I would have placed it everywhere in the song ;)

Yes that climax in APIYW is one of the very strong parts of the album, no doubts.
And I noted that if I rank song by song, my rating would be more like a 4/5, but overall, I feel it deserves a 4.5, cos it's very consistent and nothing is skippable here.
Production is also top notch.
