Too funky for my liking although the guitar work and musicianship on the album is great. Last two songs are fillers.

Van Halen's darkest and most serious record up to this point.
Edward really shows his chops on this album. Mean Streets is one of their heaviest tracks and the guitar is genius. Of course we cannot forget the killer 'Unchained' that has one of the greatest intro riffs of all time.
The harmonizing vocals on Sinner's Swing! are some of the best Van Halen has ever done. Michael Anthony is sorely missed.
The last 2 tracks are duds and 'Push Comes To Shove' isn't spectacular either. I feel if they replaced those 3 with the best 3 off WACF this would be the ultimate Van Halen record.
