Welp, time to wait another year for a Dev review.
But really, it's a great write-up as usual.

Gonna be perfect "walking somewhere (in the evening) with my Nietzschean scowl" music.

Excited to hear this. Between FKA Twigs, How to Dress Well and now this, pop music (even if it will never hit the radio) is bringing a lot of interesting things to listen to in 2014.

I'm finding the lyrics from the title song very complacent and disagreeable. Please don't hurt me.

Summary makes me think the songs from the EP have been changed for the album ... I hope this is this case

also interesting that you interpret 'Brain' as her way of shunning stereotyped female-singer-songwriters; I've never read the lyrics in that way, but it makes sense. It's probably my favourite song I've heard of hers.
I also like the idea of her voice communicating all this, as opposed to the lyrics. I wouldn't say this is close to classic (4.7) simply for the reason of lyrics, for example 'you're so cool while your watching me moan' (ugh); but her voice does carry a sense of malice; there's something definitely different about it.
Would be interested to hear how you compare FKA Twigs to Banks, or which you prefer; for me Twigs does it a lot better with a lot more sparse production, plus it seems a lot more congruent - I feel like Banks is too much of a production, a face - compare her videos to her live shows, where she seems kind of lost and not in control.
