Nothing wrong with wanting ownership of things that you view as special. Who gives a fuck if it's got traditionally negative associations? People still buy and read Mein Kampf. I don't have any 'swastika' vinyls, but I have a copy of Voice of Steel by Nokturnal Mortum. Same thing. No swastika. No problem.

Hitler doesn't benefit from the purchase of Mein Kampf; this Nazi does. And NM aren't nazis or anything close either despite being nationalist dweebs.

I actually own this on CD, I was speaking more generally. This album has been out of print since 2004, so when I bought it used from a CD store none of the money went to this band. I see what you are saying about benefiting Nazis by buying their stuff. If this was being sold by a neo-nazi record label online or something I wouldn’t have bought it. Interestingly enough, the cd actually has censored cover art so their isn’t a sawstika on it.

I don’t think I own any albums with swastikas on them nor can I think of any albums with swastikas on them, besides this one, that are any good musically. I can’t say I look for them on purpose, though, so I have no idea.

Wish I could buy the CD of this masterpiece.

I would suggest that if NM are just nationalist dweebs then the guys in Fanisk are just the same. I know a swastika on the cover of their album is rather cringeworthy and more than obnoxious but at the end of the day it's just a piece of controversial art that has its place, good or bad, in your overall personal collection. Before I question whether it is right or wrong to buy something, I always remind myself that there's a guy out there who literally bought Napoleon's mummified penis.

The thing about this album/band is that if this album didn't have a swastika on the front of the original CD pressing (which was limited to 14 copies) no one would think they were NS. The lyrics are so vague and metaphorical that they could be about almost anything. Its not like Der Sturmer or Aryan Terrorism where the vocalist yells out racial slurs and stuff about the "pure Aryan race" .

I can defiantly see why people would want to steer clear of the NS association though. I'm pretty sure if this album didn't have that it would have a larger following.

On the topics of NS and quality albums, apparently one of the guys from Temnozor got hit by a car and died today.

Really? I had never heard of those guys but metal archives says Folk/Black metal. Are they like Nokturnal Mortum or Goatmoon by any chance?

Temnozor is a good band, best album to start with them is folkstorm.
