Oh, congrats on the feature as well, Pizzabakker5!

@HarryBoBerry: I really liked The Dead Eye back in the day, and Exit Wounds is really something
else.. I'm not sure whether you know pre-Dolving The Haunted but this new album sounds a lot more
like that... Or like Revolver, if I'd have to pick a Dolving album. And thanks!
@Thibs: If ...Made Me Do It was your thing, then chances are good that you'll like like one too : )
And also you thanks for the praise.
@treefingered2: In the light of recent events for The Haunted I actually was quite impressed and
genuinely surprised by this album. It's hardly very innovative though, indeed. And thanks!
@ PiedradeLuna: yeah I was totally taken aback by being featured on Sputnik. And really glad of
course :-) Personally I liked Versus best from the Dolving era, but it's pretty close because I
think all albums (except for Unseen) were pretty great with him. And I keep thanking people, but
also YOU thanks for the kind words : )
@XingKing: you're spot-on with your analysis of people liking the first few albums most having the
biggest chance of liking this one too. However, I think in general this is a really enjoyable
melodic death/thrash release for anyone who likes the genre in general.

For the record: I've been a relatively big fan of The Haunted's work through the years since they've been involved with Dolving, and since a lot of shit has been going down recently I felt like writing a longer history section than is usually appropriate. I won't do this again in future reviews unless I have good reason to, but for now I am keeping it the way it is now. But again, thanks for all the comments and tips, it's really appreciated :-)
My apologies for my elitist bullshit opinion. To each their own I guess and if I was a fanboy, I might find a lot to say as well. Cheers!

@ Wizard: no problem man, I didn't think it was an elitist bullshit opinion but rather just your opinion. And I welcome criticism so do not refrain from 'elitist bullshit opinions' in the future!
@XingKing: good to hear you're enjoying it : )

Very solid album, with a sound that generally harks back to the band's earlier days. I think that the quality wears off in the second half and so the music sounds tired because of this, but not enough to bring down the general impression. My highlights are "Cutting Teeth", "Trend Killer" and "Kill the Light".

I'm a little familiar with it. DOA was actually the first song I heard by them and I jammed that all the time.

Wizard is the only user here who sounds like an elitist prick without actually being one lol XD
Sweet review man, definitely long-winded but well written. Makes me want to check this out. Really
enjoyed Dead Eye (I think the lyrics and how they flow are actually quite awesome) but I've just kind
of mostly unintentionally avoided these guys since then. Gonna give this a go.

Ola Englund is such a solid guitarist. The riffs on this album are super tight and Marco sounds more pissed than ever before. I too have always preferred Dolving's vocals but Marco does a fine job here.
This album sure has it's moments of Swedish thrash awesomeness but I agree with the rating; it's nothing spectacular.
The lyrics on Trend Killer might be some of the worst I've ever heard.
