I just downloaded the first three demo tracks from the album. It's heavier,its not metal but its not as catchy, I'll most likely get this when it comes out. No great line being defined here though.

then im in for it, im not a metallica fan, not my thing, but i am by no means a scene kid, i just like what i like.

That's fine though, liking what you like is all well and good. Scene kids just like what the media tells them to like.
Yeah, the true crusade should be against scene kids, whatever their affiliation.

i could get in on that then, i mean, mainstream music can be good, to an extent, but i have found the the more underground, less publicized (if i spelled that right) stuff is way better. anyway, young and aspiring is the best song and i wish the rest of the album could be a little more like that

I would give him a break but he keeps on insisting on opinions that are generally laughed at on sputnik. He's just going to keep causing himself more trouble. Atreyu as metalcore is like calling Thrice hardcore. Most people in the world are cool with it but a strong majority on sputnik recognize that as backwards as hell.

I love all the gorilla jokes that Labonza gets because of his icon. I always get hilarious reading them because the gorilla in the picture looks as if he's doing the Pee Wee Herman yell... "Arghhhh!"

ok, dfelon, what is atreyu then? if i think its metalcore, let it be that way to me, it's not like it changes the music or anything. genre determination is an opinion, and in my opinion, atreyu is metalcore.
