Ahh, Morrissey reviewing Morrissey... *chuckles*
Great job though, really well written.

“Life is a Pigsty” is was intended to be this album’s magnum opus, and while it is enjoyable it is not as exciting, exploratory or progressive as Morrissey and his backers would like to make it seem. A seven minute run-time does not a classic make.
Heh. I think that's the best song on here.

Really nice review and all. I can't say Morrissey is something I'm really interested in, but I'm quite surprised Damrod of all people likes this more than Spat, or Morriss. :amaze:

I heard "I Just Want To See The Boy Happy" live on Jools Holland, and to my surprise it was good. Really good, even. I have doubts as to whether it'll sound anywhere near so good on record, though.

Not Piccadilly Palare, which is some kind of awesome.

I like You Have Killed Me a lot, but doesn't look like I'm going to check this out.

It's kind of weird that Quarry was such a huge album but I've heard next to nothing about this on the internet or in real life.

It would have been a bigger deal if Canadians were allowed to like it.
I feel like knocking this down to a 2.5. There is nothing about this record that strikes me as being anything more than average. I voted 3 out of some kind of loyalty or insanity and I'll keep it for now but this is basically the definition of an average record.

Yeah, I haven't listened to it once since I wrote that blurb about it a week after it came out or so. There isn't a single song that makes me want to come back to it.
