I knew I shouldn't have listened to High Road too many times now it's old for me, or maybe it's just
the weakest song on the whole album.

Best tracks for me after first listen are Emerald City, The Motherload and Halloween (one of the top 5 best Mastodon solos to-date.) Diamond in the Witch House and Chimes at Midnight are the only tracks here I'm not really digging.

it leaked like 2 or 3 days ago.
Dud do you even know how to internet?
So glad there's a thread to stroke Mastodon's huge... ego, I'll think about throwing a review out for this if it's not covered 6 times in the next hour.

Clim, I've had the leak for over a week and finished writing and editing this days ago. I changed that first sentence, but I didn't write the review rushing to post it like with my Coldplay review. I'm just curious, how exactly does it feel rushed reading it?

honestly the first 2 paragraphs are great. the last para just feels like a lot of other thoughts you had about the album,
thrown together with little cohesion. you go from something about the musical style, to your thoughts on the closer, to
the songwriting, to the atmosphere all within a couple sentences.
also i have no clue what point youre trying to make here:
"A few riffs here and there begin to sound a little too familiar as the album plays out, but this quickly dissipates as this
record reveals itself to be a truly different beast altogether. This clear change works for the most part but unfortunately
results in some truly weak moments, particularly lead single “High Road” and the children’s choir(?) at the end of “Aunt
Lisa.”
thats p much everything. again, everything else about the review is good, its actually pretty knowledgable for a "day-
the-album-started-streaming" review

Did itunes remove the stream? I can't access it, and my PC will not download torrents anymore for some reason. I have to find a way to listen to this.
