My dad often tells me when he first heard this back when it came out, him and all his friends hated it. But, that's kind of what I like about Rush, they always seem to change, even if I don't like what they're doing.

I didn't like the Rush synth era at the time (except for Signals) but came back to those albums years later and found that I like them now, with Power Windows being the big star of the bunch. Yeah, the synths are way over the top on this one but there is a crackling, kinetic energy here that I don't hear on GUP or HYF. Until Clockwork Angels came along, this was the last Rush album I liked from start to finish.
