Revolver has Yellow Submarine and Eleanor Rigby.

Two songs from Revolver are here, what are you talking about?

Some may not know this but this album '1' is the collection of songs which was Side A on the beatles singles. If an album '2' were to be released, it would include songs like 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Revolution' - the B Sides of Penny Lane and Hey Jude....

This is a great album but it isn't a real indicator on how the beatles evolved. My favourite beatles songs = A Day In The Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Blackbird - none of which appear on '1'. This is a great first album for beginner beatles fans.

They did leave a few # 1's off here though. I would have rather had "Please Please Me" than say "From Me To You".

The Beatles were defiently innovaters in their time. But i find them to be a tad over-rated

I don't think they're over-rated at all.

I just find that their really the musical genius's their made out to be. Most of their songs are just simple chords like c and d. Although I must admit the fingerpicking in Blackbird was a stroke of genius. This Message Edited On 04.29.06

You don't have to be technically proficient at an instrument to be a musical genius(which the Beatles actually were). Not to sound like a dick, but the majority of Metallica recordings center around E, And Metallica are still innovators. This Message Edited On 04.29.06

Don't worry you didn't sound like a dick. And I'm aware Most of metallica's songs center around E, and that they are innovaters. But i never said the Beatles weren't innovaters. Infact i said they were defiently innovaters. All I said was their a little over-rated

I know what you said, I am simply expressing my view point as to why The Beatles aren't over-rated. But to each his own.

Man, this was the first Beatles album i ever listened too! I always played Eleanor Rigby over and over and over....Just about all of their greatest hits on here, except maybe Blackbird and Strawberry Fields Forever (that's a shame). Awsome review! This Message Edited On 06.16.06

I don't think that any Beatles greatest hits unless it was a 4 disc set or something could ever be complete. This one is missing a lot of good stuff.

if you want a complete compilation album
buy all of thier cds
otherwise people will whine about which songs should be on and which shouldn't , and offer opinions that nobody agrees with or cares about.
