two songs???? wow!!!! and MrCarandMyGuitar, I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up. Sometimes I review albums track by track, but I felt like reviewing this one as a whole. and playing with guns is a good song, but I found it a bit boring compared to the rest of the tracks. just my personal opinion.

Was just a dumb comment, and would have been, no matter what thread you put it on.

i'm just saying that you can't call this "entry level folk punk" when you havent even listened to it all the way through.
|
| |
well yeah cause
1. everything ajj have put out is entry level folk punk
2. everything ive heard off this sounds exactly like everything else ajj have done
besides i really don't know why any of you guys took that seriously enough to actually reply to it when it was pretty clearly intentionally inflammatory for hyperboles sake just like 95% of other negative comments on this site but i have to say watching you all get so flustered over it is mildly amusing
|
| |
i don't think there's such a thing as non entry level folk punk tbh but whatever
maybe like god forgive these bastards era the taxpayers stuff

I listened to I think the first three songs and was absolutely unmoved by any of them. Are the better songs toward the end, or...?

Album sucks. There is barely any variation in the construction of the songs, the production on the vocals also helps in obfuscating any hint of variation, and Sean's lyrics have nosedived into bullshit. Every quip on here is unremarkably half assed, every "emotional" plea just sounds like whining, and for the first time in their career Sean never manages to say anything interesting. The only saving grace for Christmas Island is that Bad Lieutenant 2: Port of Call might just be the greatest movie ever -- but even that's not enough to make this tepid pile of shit worth listening to.
