You can check Schizofrenia's album, A Taste of Blues... Another awesome album that will rock your socks off... Trippy, bluesy and purely majestic!

"You can check Schizofrenia's album, A Taste of Blues"

I've given it a couple of listens but didn't do much for me. Maybe it was too psychedelic for me but I'll need to revisit it.

I see, but the saxophone is so fine in it... Actually, sometimes, when there's sax I tend to love the music no matter how obscure or psychedelic it is!

Oh yeah the sax is a nice addition if it's done right. One of the things I enjoy in Springsteen's early albums is the use of sax.

I own a cd of Jesus Christ Superstar with London's Royal Philarmonic, if i can recall correctly, and they have made really funky and jazzy covers, there are some of the best sax parts I've heard... Too bad I can't find it on Youtube to share it....

great review as expected man! I really dug your descriptions in paragraph 3, sounds really cool. I also appreciate the fact that you always seem to review stuff that isn't very well known or doesn't already have a bunch of reviews. Gonna check for sure, pos.

All in all, a pretty good album. It was a successful combination of psychedelic/progressive rock and eastern elements, along with great vocal performance.

This has aged a lot better than most of the other raga rock recordings at the time.

I'm glad I checked this out. Having known Shpongle for so long (where Raja Ram is a flutist too but 30 years later and he's still great!) it was about time.

The songs are very well structured (like Manco Capac, Body and Midnight Mode for example).

Always nice to discover another psychedelic band (my faves are psybient, psychedelic rock, space rock and some krautrock).

Have to get back to listen to Ozric Tentacles and Gong more again, both still among my all time favourite bands.
