This album definitely isn't the best, but I couldn't fathom anyone actually giving this a fully comprehensible 1.

i must be the only one who thinks their s/t is their weakest. make it bleed is the one track on there that really stands out to me.

edit: scratch that, its growing on me

Really not sure about this one. It has some great moments and Songs like Blacked Out are sick but it's kind of unfocused.
I've said it before but the new drummer is beastly. His work on the last album was better.

Ben's a beast. He should have just stayed with Knights of the Abyss.

He's still pretty impressive here. I never liked the last drummer, blasting was like a crutch for him.
New guy is a metal drummer but keeps it interesting with accents and actually plays off other members of the band. You'll hear him play with the vocals or do something different from the guitars that isn't blasting.

a couple of the songs suck, but mostly it's solid. Their selftitled is so much better in pretty much every way.

s/t is my favorite whitechapel album, this seems like more or less and development on that sound.

They lessened the Meshuggah influence which worked for them but the number of bands doing that was getting annoying

so at least they tried to be more original with this one at least, with mixed results

It's probably safe for me to assume this is horrible

Exile is actually like an almost mind blowing step up from their debut to me, but they leveled out hard after that.

all of their albums have a couple great songs and a lot of forgettable ones but rarely bad. this has their two worst songs so it

puts it a little below the rest of their stuff

band is very consistently average, yet also literally the only chug band that's worth a damn.

imo

Sums up how I feel.
They aren't bad musicians and there are far better and worse out there.

I agree with Insurrection for the most part.

Liked their last album more, but I'll at least be jamming this in the car for awhile.
