don't know why the comparison is brought up in the first place. i mean, i prefer opeth to sohn but who cares? i really don't think sohn and the weeknd are similar at all

It's that kind of minimal, bass-ey, synth-ey, soul-ey, expressive singing-ey, vocal harmonies-ey style that I think people like Sohn, Weeknd and James Blake partake in.

I think SOHN has a lot of potential but when he tries to use his vocals as a beat or do those layered harmony things sounds just so terrible, he's best off just to stick to his fantastic standard singing.
