Nowhere near as bad as people act like it is. It is most definitely missing the x factor that Surfer Rosa and Doolittle had, but I'm going to be the guy that says its not that big of a step down from Trompe and Bossanova (those records aren't that great either, tbqh) Gonna wait a while before I vote- its looking to be in the 2.5-3.0 range for me.

Nah Bossa Nova destroys this. Trompe Le Monde was never my jam, but it's definitely superior to this.

Tight as in uptight. Uptight as in largely uninspired. Yes.

Par from the shit on EP 2, this is awful.

EP 1 was the best of the three EPs though. And that's really only because of the title track here. And forcing all if these tracks to coexist as an album makes it even worse.

I listened to Indy Cindy in track order last night (before hand I heard all 3 EPs separately) and honestly: it was worse that
way. "Woman of War" and "Blue Eyed Hexe" were actually the closest to decent though.

I actually really like Magdalena and it's probably the least Pixie-esque song on the album

most of the songs here are average and lack about everything that made pixies so great but they aren't really bad either. the title track is a jam

@Phero: it was one of the better ones I guess. I can't forgive them for the t/t or "Silver Snail" or "Jaime Bravo." I mean seriously it makes them sound washed up.

I can't remember the name but on one of these tracks Black is talking along to some bland instrumentation and it was hard to listen to, also, the end to Jaime Bravo was so dragged out that it loses any chance it had to be a good song.

Title track is pretty damn sweet. If there more songs like that, this could have been a comeback.

@Phero: It sounds like you're describing "Bagboy."
I have 0 desire to give his a 3rd chance. Forget this...

A lot of people keep telling me Jaime Bravo is a throwback to classic Pixies. I have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

So I made it to the 4th track so far and I don't get the hate lol. Probably because I don't care about Pixies at all.
