"his lyrics are complete nonsense"

yeah but they used to be the good kind of complete nonesense

"How I wish that you had sold me on all of those big goals

Of being a good father not a careless liar.

Well, am I really that old, ignorant, or too slow

To realize I have lost my golden ticket back home?

I am the only one that thinks I'm going crazy

And I don't know what to do

And I am the only son of a pastor I know

Who does the things I do

But if it was you

I don't think that it would matter

And if it was true

Then I just wouldn't matter

I was amazed at the color and shapes you do

A paper part for two

I am the only son of a bastard I know

That knows the bastard too

That's exactly what I said Aids, they were fantastic on Like a Virgin

"When my dad died

The worms ate out both his eyes

His soul flew right up in the skies

And I cried myself to sleep"

fucking beat that Jesse Lacey

The lyrics on Daisy are terrible

Don't make me use that line from At the Bottom as an example

Don't make me do it man

In a nutshell: Most of the songs on this all sound pretty much the same. Comparatively, the stuff

they've put out before this has all been pretty varied and weren't all straightforward loud rock

songs.

"Why does everyone hate this so much?"

It's really boring and unbelievably forgettable.

i think he needed to get this album out of his system after writing the RAGC albums, he just needed to write a bunch of hard rock songs and now they'll go back to making nice, varied albums

Well, this is what I get for waiting forever, this is just about exactly what my review would have said, except I'd have given it a 3. Nice work
