Still gotta love her.

Do you dig Frank Blanks solo stuff? Teenager of the Year is in me all time greats, haven't spun his other stuff or Catholics material in about 10yrs though.

"Tell the burrito story dude.

If Frank ordered I bet it was fuckin massive"

it was HUGE

i rolled up to Burrito King on Sunset one night and a guy was standing there, ordering. fat guy, thought nothing of it. lets say "portly" lol. he moved over and i stepped up to the window. guy moved over to the hood of his car, which was an older buick or chrysler or something. like from the 60's. i walked past, nodded "hi" and gave him a look and a smile as he looked up and.....it was HIM!!

no doubt about it at the time. i was knocked out. told him i was a big fan, had all the albums, thanked him for all the music and good songs he had written. i was actually kind of speechless. i mean what can you say to someone you don't know personally but has touched you deeply with their art except "thank you"

his food came up and he handed the guy a $20 and told the guy "thats for his order, too." he looked at me and said "its on me. thanks for supporting us"

that was it. i said thanks and he waved and drove off

can't remember exact words but that was the gist of it. being so close to Silverlake in Echo Park i wasn't really shocked or surprised to see someone in this area. but seeing him, and being such a huge fan of the band, was special

and that is the story

I'm in awe. I would have been exactly the same in your position and it's great to know the bloke appears to be a total legend.
