I think the lead singer is a little to "show-offy". Like at live concerts when he does solos he rides a tiger. A fucking tiger. I know at concerts it's cool to do fancy shit and try and show off. But riding a tiger, that's a little to much. Not to mention it's quite risky. If the tiger were ever to be frightened by the loud noise or bright lights thousands of the fans could be in danger, not to mention the band. Also i think the singer's got kind of a big mouth I've heard him dis bands like AC/DC, meanwhile he only has like one good song and AC/DC have been around for over 20 years and have countless good songs. I do however enjoy the song "I Believe In A Thing Called Love". It's quite catchy

Well, mick jaggers got a big mouth, so has Steven tyler, and they're both awesome vocalists. Also, i'm pretty sure that if they did use a tiger on stage, they would take as many precautions as possible to maintain the safety of the crowd.

Could you give an example of how mick jagger and steven tyler have big mouths. And i don't mean as in a large mouth, because they both have that i mean like you know, talks alotta smack

Common misunderstanding. Still, that would be a hilarious context...... I should write a muse on frontmen with large mouths.

That's funny that you've heard Justin Hawkins, The Darkness frontman, diss AC/DC? I find that quite hard to believe as they are influenced by that very band. I have seen an interview with The Darkness, in which Justin Hawkins claims they cover a few AC/DC tracks in their live sets. He also claims that AC/DC's 'Powerage' is in his personal top 3 greatest albums. Personally, I think The Darkness are pretty cool, they just bring that old-school style of 70's rock back to the 21st century. This is a very good album. This Message Edited On 04.27.06

Really liked your review, well done.
This is one of the albums that people went off and then onto again, well in my experience anyway. One day everyone hailed the Darkness, and the next, they were cheesy and uncool.
But a while ago I found the CD and was totally like **** yeah!!

I agree with all your ratings apart from Givin' up.. not too keen on that one I'm afraid.
Good review though!

great review, I like your format here. I have only heard "I believe in a thing called love" it was annoying at first but quickly grew on me cuz they kinda sounded like Queen, and I love me some Queen, but I'm not gay!

This in my opinion is the best hard rock album of the 21st century so far. The solos are uber catchy and Justin Hawkins is one lucky b****** to have an awesome voice that perfectly suits the music they make.
