Somewhere.. is a great record indeed. It certainly seems like LD can't seem to shake off the stigma of that record though.

Haven't listened to it yet so I was just wondering as the reviews are raving about it while average ratings were saying it's their
worst. Simply curiousity.

It's okay. The lyrics are interesting at times, but the music is nothing to write home about.

I do enjoy all of this bands work... but this album really only has 4 enjoyable songs for me. Woman

(in mirror), Woman (reading), and Objects in space. I guess these three are the most similar to the

hear hear EP's. The rest of the songs just feel hollow besides "For mayor in Splitsville". It's a

shame the hear hear eps are my favorite stuff by this band.

Still not sure where this albums is going to end up in their discog for me. River was written when they were still in their late teens I believe. That album, if you disregard the overdramatics, is flawless.

This is definitely more subtle than their other releases, but it's really growing on me. Will probably end up giving this a 4. Still think their best work is their split with Touche Amore.

Yeah, I was hoping you'd be the one to review this, and I'm glad you were. That first and last paragraph are entirely necessary.

I'm kind of surprised that this has been so well received. I love their first album, but I find this to be incredibly boring. I can't find anything interesting going on instrumentally. "Somewhere at the Bottom..." has so many great riffs and moments where the whole band comes together to make memorable pieces of music. This, not so much.
