overrated... I like madlib, but freddie gibbs is so boring on mic ... MF DOOM and madlib synergy was unique on madvillainy, this is "meh regular" hip hop LP with jazzy, moody beats...

Can't really compare this to Madvillainy though; the only thing linking them is Madlib on the beats. That's what I sought to highlight with this review.

Although, if you prefer DOOM's style to traditional gangsta rap, then you'll definitely like this less.

flylo always comes through, plus i hear MF doom's also working with a 16 year old who's name i forget right now and that shit sounded le-git, but so far yeah, best hiphop/rap album of the year by a long shot

That 16 year old is Bishop Nehru. If they drop an album this year, it's the only thing that I expect
could really dethrone this.

didn't ALL CAPS DOOM

NEG

also its just DOOM. He dissed MIC and no one with an MF prefix wants anything to do with him
anymore.

The review is too vague. Besides the part about him sounding like DMX, you don't really describe
Gibbs as well as you should, all the descriptions of him are very vague and general and essentially
meaningless like "aggressive" "gangster", which can be said about most rappers and doesn't help
distinguish him in any way. I think a quote of his lyrics woulda helped the review a lot, and then
you could analyze the lyrics and how this demonstrates his style.

I would also suggest making this more interesting to read. Your organization and grammar is well
done, but you don't have any humor or really interesting factoids or anything like that that gets
people who aren't necessarily interested in the album into the review.

Pretty good review though, i'm no expert myself but theres my 2 cents

if this is half as good as madvillainy that would blow my mind. the fact of the matter is DOOM made madvillainy what it is, not Madlib, and replacing him with stereotypical gangster crap from some kid whose probably still living with his folks just sounds awful.

hopefully im wrong

it's got a 3.95 on rym, so people are really liking this album.

also, keeping those in mind, I might rewrite this, or apply those to my next review. I can't really
think of anything I'd say about this album that isn't already printed.

I feel like too many people dislike gibbs flow mostly cause he's not DOOM, instead of judging him based on his own merits...
