Is it just me, or does the opening drums in THE CHILD WE LOST 1963 sound almost just like a slowed down version of The Most Beautiful Bitter Fruits opening drums?

I loved Wildlife but I couldn't get through this yesterday. The mewithoutyou imitation in the first song annoyed me already but I guess I'll try again after seeing these two 4.5s.

Snide, I can assure you that Jordan Dreyer's screams can take a thousand more virginities than Ronnie Winter's shitty music.

Excellent review. I listened to the first few tracks off this last night while working, they were all good. Gonna listen in full later today.

I'll give this a few more spins, but it seems like they keep losing me more and more with each release.

This will have a longer lasting value than Wildlife i think. Maybe end up being better than it.

Track 5 is poor. The rest seems OK so far, can't see this being higher than a 3 though.

Had to make an account to say this; both musically and thematically, this reminds me of Cursive's "Cursive's Domestica" A LOT. Really, it's absolutely uncanny, but not in a "rip-off" kind of way. Anyone who loved that album should check this out.

Yeah, the whole concept here is almost the exact same as Domestica. Its only different in that this is fictional whereas Domestica was loosely based around Tim Kasher's divorce with his wife. Also, the sounds of both bands differ, but I definitely see the comparison.

Objects in Space really is captivating, reminds of Breadcrumb Trail by Slint.

The closer on this is spectacular. Listening as he lays all the objects in from his past life with his wife and feeling the nostalgia and pain... AH, it was a perfect closer imo
