nightmares is their best yea

Nightmares is horrid. The songwriting quality is abhorrent and the instrumentation is awfully disjointed and spastic.
For me, this is their second strongest album to date; huge hooks and outstanding tone - Studio Fredman really did a great job on the production. My only real complaint is the obvious similarities between 'Red Hypergiant' and Northlane's 'Singularity'.

Ruin is my favourite

Nightmares was their only good album so it doesn't surprise me that you're a big fan of their shit ones

"Technical" - "Progressive"
There's nothing progressive in these guys' music. I don't personally get how a metalcore album can be
defined as "exhilarating", pretty dark actually. Not a fan of the production either..

Architects is hands-down one of the more forward-thinking Metalcore bands out there in my opinion -- which might not say an awful lot given how many shitty bands saturate the genre -- but it's still proof of their dedication. Their songs have fairly intricate time-signatures and some pretty dizzying double-bass patterns which are nicely intertwined with the guitars. They're not on the same level as bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan by any means, but at least wear some signs of complexity on their sleeves.
Just my two cents, though.

Given that I am a Swedish, soon-to-be 19-year old lad with minimal experience in writing album
reviews, I truly can't stress how much your kind words mean to me.
Thank you :]

Protest the Hero's fortress was "forward-thinking" metalcore, The Human Abstract do a sort of progressive metalcore, Destrage the King is Fat 'n' Old is super forward-thinking (not talking about their new one, which is amazing) something-core , even August Burns Red or Northlane are more tech than these guys (and they open to Architects on their next tour).

LunaticSoul - Check out Ruin or Nightmares to see what this band was once capable of. Northlane actually named themselves after an Architects song off of Ruin.
