This album isn't necessarily bad but like everyone has said it feels too tame. I also don't like his relaxed singing at certain points like you mention as a strength throughout the album. Turning Lane and Keep Clean are jams though. Good review pos

If I was privileged, this would sit at a 3.8 and Varuna at a 4.2

since I'm not, they're both 4.0

Wow, I literally completely missed this. Had no idea it came out haha. I'm with Feather's first comment, wtf happened Sputnik? I figured this band falls right into the Brand New/Manchester hype machine this website so often produces. Either way I previewed this and torn on the new sound. They've definitely returned to a more Tigers on Trains sunnier sound. Not bad, but I'm sure I'd need to give it time.

This guy's voice has a bit of a Mark Hoppus quality to it.

Seems that this band has been forgotten about with the release of this album.

That's because it's overwhelmingly average.

^ I still think its a good/pleasant listen. isnt as dark and brooding which I think unjustly hurts its replay value.

I would replay it just as much regardless of its tone, but I just feel like they lost their edge.

They altered the course of their sound, which is a shame because they were paving the road to make a

near-classic album. I understand branching out artistically and have no qualms with it, but I hope

that they realize how big of a letdown this was before they lose everyone's interest completely.

Or, if they really wanted to make me happy, they could just drop this project altogether and make

another Tigers on Trains album.

More tigers on Trains would be the right move.

Listening to this for the first time and it sounds eerily like old From Indian Lakes.

I really need to revisit this one. Hell I wrote the review and I don't remember a single track from this.

Literally no clue why I didn't enjoy this more in the past but I'm listening now and it's great

I still prefer their heavier stuff but this exists fine in its own little niche and now I regret being such a vocal critic of it
