Excellent review man. Love this album, I haven't listened to it for ages, going to give it a spin tonight after reading this. A 5 rating is a bit too far though, very rare that a double album is absolutely perfect!

In the middle of listening to it for probably the first time in 5 years. It sounds fantastic, 'Angel Eyes' through to 'Spiderbite' is amazing. Out of interest what do you make of the recent AIC albums? I love 'Black gives way to Blue' but am undecided about TDPDH

I really enjoyed Black Gives Way to Blue, thought it was a really good return to form. TDPDH took a little longer to grow on me, but its quality is really opening up with more listens. I think Duvall is a talented guy, I'd like to see him and Cantrell have more of a dual working approach on the next album, maybe stretch their legs a bit into some more varied sounds. All in all, two very solid records for the reunited AIC.
