I feel as though a song can be great regardless of the length. It's just that considering how there is such a small sample size this split still seems like it has the flow and cohesion of an actual full length record.

you could say something like this instead...
One might not expect so much substance to be packed into a mere 5 songs, but Prawn and Joie De Vivre manage to create something with more depth than most of their peers are able to accomplish with a full length album.
(doesn't have to be these exact words of course, but hope this helps)
