idk if it's one of those albums you have to pour a lot of time into before liking it. i'm waiting for something to hit me. i mean, i initially hated yeezus and continued to for about 7 months and then something just kind of clicked and my contempt became love. i seem to be liking this marginally more with each listen, but not enough to substantially boost my rating at this rate.

sorry, perhaps that was too brash. i don't mean in the sense that it's some rigorous intellectual exercise that you have to wrap your mind around, i meant in the sense of emtional intelligence. negative stances on the album just seem to highlight an inability, or maybe just unwillingness, emotionally invest in the album.

yeah thats a solid job of putting the feelings of Kozelek's most recent stuff to words. Im a fan of his. I don't dislike any of his stuff. But this album, so far, is hard to love.
