listen to the interviews, understand their importance/connection to the themes presented in the songs themselves, and then take them out. the album flows really well when it's listened to as just the songs. it's a pretty easy solution.

They're still a part of the tracklist, and while I have taken them out and just listened to the music, it just doesn't feel right to give a high score to an album that I'm not listening to in its entirety. Make any excuse you want, they're still track 6 and 11.

And I disagree that a bonus disc would be skipped over by people. Anyone who wants to listen to it will, regardless of where it's placed. There's no guarantee that just because it's in the tracklist, everyone will take it seriously and no one will skip over it. After all, a forty minute interview (obviously) isn't going to appeal to everyone when they just want to listen to an album.

If I want to listen to excessively long interviews I'll torrent some audio rips of 60 minutes. Seriously though I'm finding it really hard to believe that people can defend how necessary two excessive interviews are to an otherwise average sounding album.

My biggest gripe is that a lot of the music is really fucking boring.
