I've listened to most of the Malkmus & Jicks stuff but never really sat down and listened to them start to finish (other than his first solo album which is a bit hit and miss)

Only listened to it once, will give it another try. Only other one I heard by them was the debut which I thought was alright.

Houston Hades is a top 3 Malkmus song. Chillest, grooviest 6/4 time signature song ever, so smooth you don't even notice unless you're listening for it. The chorus is just doo doo doo but it's perfect. J Smoov is also outstanding. Rumble is one of his worst.
