Work on your reviews and do your research. Wrong band names for respective members and you mixed up the drummer and bassist.
Your comparisons are off basis for the most part and your introductory paragraph is worthless. Music changes, we all get that. Pop music has changed a lot since the late 70's and early 80's as well but I wouldn't need to address that if I wrote a review on a pop album.
And the generalization that the singer appeals to 14 year old girls is absolutely laughable. The Oli Sykes comparison makes literally no sense as in no way is Hail the Sun or Donovan Melero apart of a mainstream band.
If you don't like the band that's cool. I'm not a huge fan either but you wrote your review in a way that does not address the content of the album in a remotely effective way.
On a positive note, aside from the poor research and what not the review is well written from a technical standpoint and it flows well.

Literally had to force myself to keep reading after you fucked up by saying Melero was the vocalist of Stolas.
Shame on you...

Consisting of members from established bands Hail the Sun, Dance Gavin Dance, Stolas & A Lot Like Birds, Sianvar is a post-hardcore super-group who remind of early era Circa Survive. Vocalist Donovan Melero recalls Anthony Green with his dreamy high-pitched singing, but the band also have the same issues with tracks bleeding together & predominatly failing to engage. The technical instrumental nous definitely exists, even if the intricate guitar lines are pushed too high in the mix. So there's a lot to work with, but definitely some work to be done if Sianvar is to succeed as an ongoing entity. Recommended Tracks: Sick Machine, Your Tongue Ties & Chest Pressure.

You have the names of the drummer and the bassist flipped. Joe Arrington is the drummer for this band and A Lot Like Birds and he's a monster
