I have the first 3 albums by these guys. ‘Widow’s Weeds’ and ‘Beyond the Veil’ are two of the most beautiful albums of this type I ‘ve heard, ‘World of Glass’, not so much. I’d be curious to hear this nonetheless.

Yeah World of Glass didn't do much of anything for me. Beyond the Veil melted my face off. I figure this will be somewhere in the middle from what I've heard.

This is much mellower and dynamic?. Just youtube Cure and especially Shadowman. I love that Vibeke is in the forefront heer instead of layering the growls.

I enjoy this album even though it's totally different than previous stuff from Tristania. This is kinda softer music, but song quality is pretty high. This album also leans on a great atmosphere, and strong vocal performances can be heard. Shadowman is my favorite song here.

"Ashes" has to be my favourite album by Tristania. I reckon had Morten not left / got fired from the band they would have kept on releasing "Beyond the Veil", which is an outstanding album, don't get me wrong, but I love the subtly of this album and it's more moody and ethereal atmosphere. Great review.
