Good review man, pos. Your style of reviewing is on the long side but this is not bad as I always
enjoy reading your stuff.

Regarding the album, I still haven't listened to it as it's not exactly my kind.

Much appreciated, Futures! I'd listen to Hvis Lyset Tar Oss before listening to Filosofem if you

haven't heard Burzum before, but this album is still worth a check as well.

"Vikernes does a remarkable job of capturing the listener and immersing him into his dark, twisted world; a world where guitars are indistinguishable, where synthesizers are the only source of melody, where vocals are ferocious and always pure evil, and where a sea of white noise is always present in the background."

A semicolon is supposed to be used to separate two independent clauses, two sentences that can stand apart from each other and make sense (as if the semicolon were a period). The second part of that doesn't really.

Good review though.

See all you have to do is become famous for killing someone then your original work gets rated way higher than it really warrants. If this was any other random BM artist the rating wouldn't be nearly what it is.

Pretty fantastic album, but only because the guy that created it is a murdering, racist sociopath. Not at all because it's just a pretty damn good, highly influential black metal album.
