I love most of those bands, but I personally feel Haken does enough to pay homage to these groups while having their own distinct sound. And let's face it - most prog-metal bands owe some influence to Dream Theater, BTBAM, or Porcupine Tree. And any band that has the guts to emulate what Gentle Giant did in Knots and pull it off so well deserves credit!
