I can't stop listening to "Chamakay".

And btf, not sure if I understand what you mean by Hynes being "whiny". His voice is fairly thin (some would call it sultry) and not an "enforced" vocal, that's for sure, but it's far from whiny, IMHO.

Isn't it? =( It came so close though - 57th or something like that. Sigh.

Also, so damn excited to read what you have in store for this year-end feature - you've got two of my favourite albums...do them justice!! :D

what planet are you from? blood oranges are easily the best fruit. only in season for a short time and incredible flavor. one of the main reasons why spring is amazing.

that would be awesome. this guy is really talented but doesn't have the wow factor of thundercat in terms of technicality

when I lived abroad my host made me fresh-squeezed blood orange juice every morning, along with a cup of espresso. perfect breakfast right there.

the displays of "technicality" are where thundercat loses me. "the life acquatic" and "seven" could just not exist and no tears would be shed. "without you" and "a message to austin" though whewwww

Okay I really need to listen to that Thundercat album now. Tried his previous - no go. Maybe this one will do better.

But first I gotta get off this oil rig.

I feel like this is such a step up from Coastal Grooves, really enjoying it so far. Plus, Chamakay is just soo good
